SIMON’S TOWN NSRI STATION 10 AND SAS ASSEGAAI SUBMARINE MUSEUM TOUR
RSVP by 16 APRIL 2025 to Chris on chris@vineyard.co.za
We start with a tour of National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Station 10 where dedicated volunteers will share interesting insights into the history, operations and training aspects of their service. We will tour the rescue craft and hear fascinating reports of rescues.
We walk a short distance to the SAS Assegaai Submarine Museum for a guided one-hour tour of this Daphné-class submarine launched in 1970. This will be a unique experience and a chance to learn more about South Africa’s maritime heritage.
Cost: Submarine tour – R80 adults, R60 pensioners and R40 children U12
Optional lunch at 34˚ South restaurant, False Bay Yacht Club, on completion of the tour. This will be for your own account.
