GRADE 4B, MEDIUM PACE
The Fish River Canyon Hike is a challenging, self-sufficient 4-to-5-day wilderness trail through the bottom of the Fish River Canyon in southern Namibia. Covering approximately 86–90 km (or less with shortcuts), the hike involves a steep initial descent followed by walking on difficult terrain like deep sand and boulders along the riverbed. Hikers must carry all their gear and supplies, as there are no facilities along the route. It hence requires a good level of fitness.
The cost is approximately R3 000. Full payment is due on booking.
