GRADE 4A, MEDIUM PACE
This two-day trail is situated in the Hottentots-Holland Nature Reserve (between Grabouw and Villiersdorp). The trail graded as moderately difficult. It is approximately 14km from the start to the hut and takes 5 to 6 hours to complete each day. The route offers views of the mountains, orchards and Theewaterskloof Dam in the distance. Ascent on day 1 is 330m and 550m on day 2. The hut has bunk beds only. No other facilities are provided other than a braai area. Wood can be purchased from Cape Nature.
