GRADE 3B, MEDIUM/SLOW PACE
Max 12. This is a circular route through the restricted area of Orange Kloof. We follow the ring road through Orange Kloof, through fabulous fynbos at first, before heading up to the Woodhead Tunnel (1891) where we take a break for tea and a snack. Thereafter, we head up to the Woodhead Reservoir (about 700m asl) via the beautiful Disa Gorge, enjoying indigenous forest along the Disa Stream. From here, we head back to Constantia Nek via Ash Valley (lunch break) and the Bridle Path. Beautiful views over Hout Bay, Constantia Valley and towards the False Bay Coastline. No dogs allowed. Space is limited since this hike requires a permit.
